Put Ye In The Sickle

I applied for a year-long scholarship to study Mandarin in Taipei, Taiwan. The last two months have been spent collecting, tracking, writing, and chasing all of the appropriate documentation. This morning I finally, meticulously, polished the edges of that Ottawa-bound goldenrod envelope. My position of care over it has been relinquished, and is now vested to postal workers. It will be handed off like sandbags in a small town, anticipating a flood, protecting my Plan A. From Ottawa it will ping-pong through Hong Kong to Taiwan, where I pray my study plan, transcript, and forms will be looked upon favorably. I have poured more of myself into this process than I thought possible, to the extent that Plan B is a mere wisp of fruition. If accepted, the scholarship takes effect September of this year. For details, see: http://www.edutw.ca/English/PDF/2010_HES_Guideline.pdf
My next posting will be the result, released before April 30, 2010,
Acceptance or Declination,
I'm praying the former.

P.S. I'm sorry Megan, I read your blog frequently, and I also frequently plagiarize it.
